The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (also known as IDD).
Join 40,000 walkers across the country to support the Best Buddies programs in your schools, workplaces and communities. You’ll be making the world more welcoming to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities – one friendship, one job, and one life-changing connection at a time.
In addition to complimentary snacks for both breakfast and lunch, the following are some of the attractions that will contribute to the FUN: Way Too Tall Torrie, Mussel Man from the Fort Myers Mussels, mini ponies, therapy dogs, model submarine, Lee Co. Sherriff’s Office SWAT car, Lee Co. Sherriff’s Pets on Patrol, Reunite Missing Persons Program, various games, face painting, water balloons, photobooth, DJ: BFrank, area cheerleaders and dance teams, super heroes, Disney princesses, a variety of mascots, massages from Imagine Wellness Spa and special guests Corey Lazar from WINK News as emcee, Estero Mayor Katy Errington as Grand Marshall and Morgan “Moose” Wright from American Ninja Warrior.
